Welcome to the 2019-20 school year!

We are thrilled to welcome all our new families to the Ross Valley School District, where we share a common vision for students extending beyond the successful mastery of subject matter content. Working in partnership with you, RVSD's students develop the skills and habits of mind to be joyful, inspired and engaged young people, who grow up appreciating their unique talents while learning to compensate for their equally unique challenges. Thank you for entrusting your precious children to us.

Under the wise stewardship of our student-centered Board of Trustees and the dedicated efforts of our amazing teachers, staff and leaders, RVSD's students enjoy an educational experience that is among the finest in our state. The generous support and hard work of our families, Parent Clubs and YES Foundation, further enrich this experience with acclaimed music, art and poetry programs, literature, science, physical education, technology, engineering, special field trips, school events and much more.

In addition to new families, please also join me in welcoming a number of new professional colleagues who bring their skill sets, knowledge, experience and expertise to our District. I know you will enjoy meeting and getting to know the new members of our RVSD community as much as they will appreciate getting to know you.

This will be my sixth year as your Superintendent and I remain grateful for the opportunity to continue leading this wonderful district. I offer my heartfelt gratitude to you and all in our community who steadfastly support RVSD and remain committed to working hand-in-hand with us, to create positive outcomes for all students as unique learners. You make a difference in your children’s lives and ours as well. Thank you!

Have a great year and I look forward to seeing you in our schools!
